Registration of New Students
Online pre-registration (step-by-step directions) is available for students new to DoDEA. Once information is entered, key forms can be generated. The school registrar can then access the data.

Parents may register their children during regular office hours (0745-1600) during the school year..

Students who are registered before 1100 will be able to attend school the following day.

In order to give teachers time to prepare for a new student, students who are registered after 1100 must wait one additional day before attending school.

PCSing Students
All parents must give the office two weeks notice prior to a PCS move. This gives the teachers time to prepare the student's report card and the office will prepare a copy of the PCS orders.

Educational files (records from Aukamm and previous schools) may be released directly to a parent who has given the school notice and proper orders indicating a PCS.

All library books must be returned to the school. If the library books are not returned, a bill will be presented to the parent when he/she comes in to pick up the student's educational records.

The Military Child Education Coalition (external site) has additional PCS information, including a Checklist for Student Transfers.

Exception to Feeder Policy
Typically, only students who reside in Aukamm Village are eligible to enroll at Aukamm; all other students attend Hainerberg.

If a student is not a resident in Aukamm Housing an "Exception to Feeder Form" must be completed and approved by both the admitting and releasing principal before a child will be granted permission to attend Aukamm Elementary School.

The Heidelberg District Office must approve the "Exception to the Feeder Policy" after the Principals' approval.
